Once again this year, we have responded to the Call for Artists by CHEAP, the public art project that, since 2013, has brought images and words onto the walls of Bologna capable of questioning the present through the language of the poster.
For 2026, CHEAP has chosen the theme “Conflict and Care”: not two opposing concepts, but two practices that intertwine and feed off each other. Because taking care does not necessarily mean pacifying, reconciling, or making everything more acceptable. Sometimes care means opposing, withdrawing, resisting.
It is from this perspective that we developed our two posters. From two bodies standing together. From a word that becomes an image. From a message that passes through the bodies and is completed only in the relationship between them.
YOU CAN’T STOP US
No single protagonist. No face to identify. The subject is not the individual, but a collectivity that recognizes itself in the possibility of being together.
It doesn't matter who they are. What matters is that they are united. And that they do not intend to stop.
KEEP FIGHTING
Here, the message is built through two words distributed between the figures, crossing the bodies and the space of the image.
The keffiyeh introduces an explicit reference in the poster to Palestine, its history of resistance, and the struggles for freedom and self-determination.
It is not a decorative element, but a political sign.
A way of asserting that solidarity is not abstract and that struggles cross borders, territories, and communities.
Public art and resistance
Like every year, participating in CHEAP Bologna is also an opportunity to reflect once more on the role of public art.
Bringing an image onto the walls means temporarily reclaiming a location from commercial and institutional communication to transform it into a space for discourse, confronting a context that, by its very nature, is not neutral.
A poster can remind us that the city is not just a place to traverse or consume, but also a territory to inhabit, reclaim, and transform.
For us, this also means care. Not a neutral, pacified care devoid of conflict, but a care that takes a stand. A care that builds solidarity.
As the YELETRES collective, we are interested in using the image not only to represent the present, but to take a stand within the present.
Conflict and care are not two opposite paths. They are part of the same practice.

With care.
